How to reply to customer reviews

Learn how to respond to customer reviews directly from the Reviews section to manage your online reputation effectively.

Responding to reviews shows customers you're listening, and it signals to search engines that your business is active. In Praising.ai, you can reply to any review directly from the Reviews page, edit or delete existing replies, and filter your inbox to focus on reviews that still need a response.

Steps

1. Open the Reviews page

Navigate to https://app.praising.ai/dashboard/reputation/reviews. Your full review feed loads automatically, showing each reviewer's name, star rating, review text, and reply status. Reviews marked Not Replied are the ones to tackle first.

STAY on "Reviews" heading then highlight "Reviews"

2. Filter for unanswered reviews

Click the Filters button near the top-right of the page. Use the Not Replied filter to surface only reviews still waiting for a response. This keeps your workflow focused so nothing slips through.

Tip: Checking the Not Replied filter at the start of each day is an easy way to keep your response rate high, which is a key factor in local search ranking.

3. Click Reply on a review

Find the review you want to respond to, for example Maria Gutierrez's five-star cortado compliment from June 12, and click the Reply button beneath it. A text input area will appear inline, directly below the review.

4. Write and submit your reply

Type your response in the reply field. Keep it personal and specific. Reference something the reviewer actually mentioned, the way the Acme Coffee team did for Jake Thornton: "the back corner is unofficially the remote-work zone, so you picked right." When you're happy with it, click Reply to post.

Your reply will appear immediately beneath the review, timestamped with today's date.

STAY on "Reply" then highlight "Reply"

5. Edit or delete an existing reply

Already replied but want to update your wording? Click Edit reply beneath any posted response to open it in edit mode. Make your changes and save. To remove a reply entirely, click Delete reply and confirm when prompted.

Both options are visible on replies like those for Jake Thornton (June 11), Dana Kowalski (June 8), and Tom Whitfield (June 3).

SCROLL to "Jake Thornton" then highlight "Edit reply"

6. Share a standout review

For reviews worth amplifying, like Priya Raman's patio write-up or Allie Brennan's breakfast taco shoutout, click the Share review icon next to the reviewer's name. This lets you quickly turn great feedback into shareable content.
